Hello/Hola/G'day/Howdy

Welcome to my blog!
I am currently living in New Orleans volunteering for a year at a legal office which handles death penalty appeals. This blog is about my experience in this fabulous and unique city and also the death penalty in Louisiana. For security and confidentiality reasons I cannot disclose file names or case details, but I can and will write about the process in a generalised way.

Blog Set Up

Well.. This is my first attempt at 'Blogging'!
I have set this up as I will soon be jetting off to New Orleans to commence a one year internship working on death penalty appeals cases at the Centre For Equal Justice. This blog will in effect be a diary of my experience working in the field but also generally about life in New Orleans.
I have never worked on capital cases before and I have never been to New Orleans before.... and I'm sooooooo excited.
A number of people have asked me to keep them informed about my little adventure and I figured this would be a less abrasive method than group emails - you can check it at your leisure, or just ignore it....
If you have any questions throughout the course of the blog please ask, or if you want to know more about any particular aspect please let me know.
I hope you enjoy!
